An
industry veteran with over 30
years experience in the sporting
goods and outdoor marketplaces.
(The very FIRST sales person
hired by Reebok in the USA).
Lillis, a serial entrepreneur,
along with his companies, have
partnered with some of the greatest
brands in the industry. They
include Reebok, Oakley, Nike,
Russell Athletic, and Timberland
to name just a handful. Sales
and branding are passions for
Marty. With the advent of the
big box and retail consolidation,
he identified the need for national
coverage for the retail doors,
a service that historically
had been covered by the sales
rep. In 1995 he established
Franklin Resource Group. He
plays the saxophone, but not
very well.
Peter Goehrig President
Peter
took on the role as President
after serving on the company's
Board for the last several years.
He is a growth oriented, seasoned
executive that has run several
significant companies in the
overall sporting goods and athletic
footwear industries. He has
worked with many entrepreneurs
to help build their businesses
and lists work as one of his
hobbies. Peter lives with his
wife Barbara in Boulder and
enjoys skiing and basketball.
He claims when he went for his
MBA at the Harvard Business
School, he thought he was enrolling
in the NBA.
Ernie Baske Vice President
of Operations
Ernie
is a skilled operations specialist
with a background in consumer
products planning/manufacturing,
and IT systems development and
implementation. He has held
operations positions with several
consumer products companies
including Bridgestone USA and
RockShox Inc. The four years
prior to Franklin Resource Group
were spent developing business applications at an international
semiconductor company in California's Silicon Valley. Ernie
oversees Field Operations,
Information Technology, and
Human Resources. As a (nearly) completely
recovered motorcycle adrenaline junkie,
Ernie now embraces his inner
geek, and would gladly discuss
Excel formulas with anyone that
will listen.
Mike Evans Information Systems Data Analyst
If it plugs into the wall and doesn´t work, it´s Mike Evans´ job to fix it. Prior to joining FRG, Mike worked as a support specialist for over 6 years. He´s highly skilled at the troubleshooting of software problems. And being the tallest person in the office, he´s also great at adjusting a ceiling vent without a ladder! Mike is the kind of person who likes a challenge… among his other more common outdoor interests, like camping and off-road exploring, Mike enjoys Geocaching, which involves searching for items/capsules that others have left behind using a GPS device. Mike´s outlook on life? Anything’s possible; if they say it can’t be done, Mike will enjoy proving them wrong!
Ginna Larson Client Services Manager
Ginna joined Franklin Resource Group with over 10 years of marketing communication and project management. She has an M.A. in Integrated Marketing Communication from UC Boulder, but jokingly says that her most impressive qualification for her current job is being able to tolerate Sean´s taste in music and Stacey´s incessant chatter about Chicago for 8 hours a day with a smile. She enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and snow shoeing, and is the proud mother of a beautiful baby girl, Hadley. Her most impressive physical feat? Natural child birth.
Sean Gavin Client Development Manager
Sean has over 9 years retail experience, with over 6 years in the outdoor industry. He came to Franklin after a long tenure with REI, where he was responsible for operations management, inventory control, and vendor relations. Although he likes to joke that his favorite outdoor activity is drilling for oil, Sean is truly an avid outdoorsman and mountaineer. He´s climbed over 54 of Colorado’s famous 14´ers (mountains over 14,000 feet high) and has climbed over 22,000 feet while on an expedition in the Himalayas. What else makes Sean unique among his co-workers? His enjoyment of 70s music and his tendency to eat the same snacks every day at the same time.
Stacy Wogsland Account Manager
Stacy has a BS in Meteorology from Northern Illinois University. Before coming to Franklin, she was an assistant buyer for Sears Holdings Co. She enjoys walking her puppy, Wrigley, and playing soccer. She played soccer through college, and fondly remembers her first televised game: Right after kick-off, she went to run up field and tripped over her own feet, falling flat on her face. She describes that moment as “fantastic”. Stacy thinks that being a people person makes her a good fit in her role at Franklin, and she also enjoys the panoramic view of the Flatiron Mountains from her desk. She is the only Cubs fan in the office, and lives by the motto “next year”. She’s finally starting to enjoy Colorado, but still believes Chicago is the best city in the world.
Rebecca Treiber National Field Operations Manager
Rebecca
has 15 years of professional
experience in program and staff
development, specializing in
designing training programs
and implementing incentive plans
for staff retention. Rebecca
is, essentially, the condutor of
orchestra of field operations. She is
responsible for our field operations - finding the
best people possible across
the country to be on our team,
coordinating project completion, and ensuring quality.
She enjoys the outdoors, fly
fishing, running, her dogs,
and collecting rocks (?!). With
her dad in the army, she moved
constantly as a kid. Name your
home town - it's pretty likely
that she has lived somewhere
nearby.
Jimmie Davis Regional Field Manager
Jimmie joined Franklin Resource Group as a Sell-Through Specialist in Sept 2004 and was promoted to Regional Field Manager in June of 2005. Before joining us, Jimmie managed retail stores
for 14 years. He worked for such major retailers as Kohls, Jumbo Sports, JCPenneys and Venture Store. He holds a business management degree from a branch of the University of Texas. He is married with two amazing children (his description, but we agree) and coaches little league baseball. If the Texas Rangers were to offer him the head coach position, he would consider taking it - if the kids could play starting positions.
Rachel Wattles Regional Field Manager
Rachel became a Regional Field Manager for Franklin after working as a visual merchandiser. What originally interested her in working for Franklin was being able to be a part of the outdoor industry. Rachel will try just about anything having to do with the outdoors, including soccer, hiking, camping, skiing, snowshoeing, swimming, and scuba diving. She once decided to try out sailing, and embarked on a two month journey across the Pacific, only to discover that she was terribly prone to sea-sickness! Rachel says her favorite thing about working for Franklin is that being part of a smaller company, she is able to make a major impact every day. Rachel’s perspective on work/life: Work hard and play hard, but always make time for coffee breaks!
Sunny Xiong Senior Recruiter
Sunny studied communications at CU Boulder. She likes her job at Franklin because although she’s required to talk and listen a lot, she also spends a lot of time laughing. She enjoys jogging and would also like to try climbing someday, if she can convince Sean to show her how. She enjoys snowboarding, but it doesn’t always go as planned. Once on a ski lift, she fell while trying to get off and couldn’t get up in time, causing the people on the next two chairs to fall right on top of her! She admits to being accident-prone, and warns anyone in the Boulder vicinity to watch their windshields this summer, as she plans on taking up golf and tennis.
Angela Poulson Recruiter
Angela majored in Creative Writing and Journalism at the University of Arizona. Before coming to Franklin, she conducted interviews for NASA. She enjoys camping, cycling, and hiking. During one winter hike, she thought that she was walking across a very flat field, only to realize afterwards that she had just crossed a large frozen river! What makes her unique at Franklin is that she’s probably the only person in the office who enjoys screening resumes. She says they are so bad sometimes that she can’t help but be entertained. For example, she laughs when someone claims to be “detailed oriented.” But if she has to read just one more resume about someone who will give 110% (how can you give more than 100%?!) she says she will be 100% irritated by it.
